PREAH were subcontracted by the principal contractor, Thomas Johnstone, to provide a full mechanical refurbishment of the SRUC Moredun Labs. The Labs belong to Scotland's Rural College (SRUC) within Edinburgh University.

Our expertise
Our considerable experience working in laboratory environments and meeting the specific challenges of working in the busy Edinburgh University grounds proved invaluable for this project.
The challenges
These works were conducted during term time at Edinburgh University, resulting in a busy environment with live services still feeding many other areas of the building. We also had to undertake a specialist mechanical installation in the building due to the necessity for lab gasses.

Thanks to the success of this project, we have since worked with Thomas Johnstone on another project.
