Our expertise
Thanks to our ever-expanding experience within the healthcare sector, PREAH were chosen to undertake this NHS project. Our knowledge and understanding of SHTM regulations were carefully applied and adhered to throughout the project. Our highly qualified workforce worked under strict guidelines and timescales to produce a compliant SHTM from tender to completion.
The challenges
With restricted access within the plant room, the existing Air Handling Unit and the new Air Handling Unit works were logistically challenging. A crane was utilised to lift the plant equipment to roof level and furthermore manoeuvred carefully by our site services team into position. Our team undertook careful planning while liaising with the NHS to successfully, and safely deliver this portion of our works.
At the commissioning stage, our team had to integrate with Bender and M.A.T system’s platforms. We successfully worked alongside multiple contractors to deliver on a very tight commissioning programme, with no margin for error. With the volume of controls operating within a theatre environment, we held additional meetings via MS Teams, due to COVID-19, to ensure the project ran without errors throughout this stage. Even with restrictions in place, we met the handover date.
